The Phoenix Has Burned. Time for My Second Act

Who knew a phoenix needs two years to burn completely!? For the past two years, the fires I had inside myself were more powerful than the ones that were raging outside of me. Transformation always happens from within. I know I changed. That was the point.We all think that time passes fast, and we don't get to do what we want. It actually goes by very slow... allowing for all the things to simmer-in, life to unfold & smiles to be caught on a lazy summer afternoon. We are the ones that move to fast. Time is patient.The problem is we are not aware anymore. We are not self-aware. Life is happenning not just on the outside. It happens on the inside first. Influencing, creating, changing the world around us. A reflection of who we are deep down.Each day, we perform a multitude of roles on the worldly stage. We act according to our social statuses, be them relational, job-related or other. We wear so many masks that we may forget who we are underneath it all.We might forget who the ones behind the mask really are. And who they've always been. Sometimes, during our roleplaying, something happens and our mask gets ripped off.We bleed internally, we feel exposed, scared, alone. We feel confused and lose our compass for a while. Drifting away to find ourselves, we remember who we were. We let go of unused baggage, we set it on fire and burn it on a slow simmer. And we patiently digest and go through what the life struggle puts us through.Life has us shedding our old selves, go through the lessons and experiences & come out different on the other side. If we become better or get worse... is all a matter of mindset.We look for the lessons, we learn, we grow. We find ourselves again, realizing the only one that can really know who we are is ourselves.As we slowly burn, we get used to the sensations, we hide, we search, we fight with each of our demons. We cling to God and know we will win. We know there is life at the end of it.And after a while, the fire gets colder. Our core has been forged strong once more. Our patience has been rewarded. I know mine has!The Phoenix has burned. Time for my second act. I know I changed. That was the point! Choose to see the good. Have a grateful heart & be the light for others.
